The core of Karolinas music practice is playfullness
and through that shaping sound
from complex to the simplest structures
- living through music all states of consciousness.
This is a Mini-Album. The first two songs feature German lyrics and are sung to the accompaniment of a shamanic drum. The last two have a cinematic feel, featuring piano, flute and vocals.
This music is dedicated to the intrinsic priciple of existence, which unfolds and emerges beyond human conceptualized action or thought but rather simply by the state of being - by itself. In this state there is nothing to do, nothing to change, yet in it lies the potential of transformation and renewal of all things.
The instruments recorded include piano, santoor, morin khuur, bansuri, transversal flute, shamanic drum, didgeridoo, mouth drum, guitar, singing bowls, ocarina and voices. Several sounds are part of the ambient and background as the purring of a cat, the humming of bees, church bells, sounds of flowing water and the chirping of birds.
